Faculty at Concordia High School

Alan Fiebich
BA Augustana University College (Physical Education)
BEd University of Alberta (Physical Education)

Mr. Fiebich has been at CHS for three years and is working this year on a part-time teaching load as her pursues his Masters of Divinity at Taylor College and Seminary here in Edmonton. He is involved in Student Council, coaching volleyball and badminton and is presently teaching CALM and Sports Performance at CHS.

Franco Imbrogno

BEd from the University of Alberta

Mr. Imbrogno has been working at CHS for 5 years and is presently teaching drama and preparing meals in the cafeteria for our students and staff. He also coaches soccer at the university and provincial levels.

Skyler Kyriacou-Herman
BEd

Before coming to CHS this year, Mr. Herman taught in Australia. In his first year here at CHS, he is teaching physics and math along with being actively involved in our Grade 12 graduation. In his spare time, he enjoys snowboarding and outdoor activities.

Naomi Lee
BEd Secondary Education

Before joining CHS, Ms. Lee taught oversees. In her tenure here at CHS, she is teaching math in grades 9 through 12. She enjoys playing music in her church worship band.

Carol Schmitke

Mrs. Schmitke has taught at Lutheran and other Christian schools in Troy, Illinois, Seattle, Washington and now here at CHS in Edmonton. Her vast experience includes many things from grade 1 physical education to grade 9 hand chimes. Currently, she is teaching science, biology, religion and information processing here at CHS. She really enjoys her dad’s home-made ice cream and her mother-in-laws oreo type cookies!

Sylvie Tissandier

BSc Honors in Paleontology

Ms. Tissandier and her husband recently moved here from Calgary. After teaching science for three years in Calgary, she is now teaching biology, French, chemistry, ELL and is our Career Counselor here at CHS. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, scuba diving and reading.

Lygia Vernon

BEd from Indiana University Purdue Indianapolis

This is Ms. Vernon’s first year of teaching in her career as an educator and she joins CHS as an instructor of English and Spanish. She is also working on our missions and service learning team. She enjoys travelling, reading, learning new languages, volunteering in the community and ballroom dancing.

Irene Keogh

Mrs. Keogh has been teaching at Concordia High School for over 25 years and has received numerous awards for Excellence in Teaching. She teaches Social Studies to CHS students and is enjoying teaching grade nine this year.  She enjoys history and travelling.
