Dorm Life at Concordia High School
Living in residence can be both challenging and rewarding. Sometimes it creates tension and challenges us to exercise patience, consideration, love and forgiveness in relationships with others. But it can also be one of the most fun and rewarding experiences, with opportunities for personal growth, maturation and the development of deep and lasting friendships.
Some of the advantages of living in a dorm include:
- Social Life - Living in a dorm makes it easy to meet new people and make friends. It can also make students feel more connected and involved in campus life since they are right in the middle of the action.
- Convenience – Living on campus means that the library and other educational resources are always within reach. Classes are also nearby, which means not having to rush to catch the bus in the morning or fighting traffic in the car.
- Safety and Security - Resident assistants (RAs) who live in the dorms are available to lend an ear when students need vent or ask for help. They can also provide a sense of safety and security by ensuring a peaceful and respectful environment.
- Nutritious Meals - Students have access to nutritious snacks and meals in the cafeteria.
- Gain Independence - Living on campus is a great way for students to transition into real life on their own while still having the support of teachers, resident assistants and other school staff.
