Performing Arts at Concordia High School

Concordia High School students benefit from having a variety of performing arts to complement their academic courses.

Theatre

Concordia High School plans one major performance each year. Past performances have included:

• Musicals such as "Opal" and "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"
• An evening of dinner theatre featuring a number of one-act plays

While students are encouraged to enroll in drama classes, any student is welcome to audition for roles in a production.

Choir

Concordia's choir program includes:

• Introductory Choir (open to all students)
• Honor Choir (open by audition only)

The choirs perform annually in concert with the Concordia University College of Alberta Concert Choir and accept a limited number of engagements at local churches, seniors' residences and shopping malls. The honor choir tours at least once each year.

Choral music credits are available to students in either choir. Students are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances.
